Information is used to:
RealPlate uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand general usage patterns — how many people visit, which pages they read, and roughly where they arrived from. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not follow you to other websites. No personal data is collected, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
RealPlate also records a small number of anonymous events about how the planner is used — that a recipe was opened, or a night was swapped, for example — so we can tell which parts of the site are actually useful. These carry no name, email address or anything else that identifies you.
This is the same reason our fonts are stored on our own server rather than loaded from Google: we would rather your visit stayed between you and us.
RealPlate uses third-party services to operate the site and store feedback or sign-up information. RealPlate also links to external websites, such as supermarkets. These sites have their own policies, and RealPlate is not responsible for them.
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, unless a longer period is required for legal, security or administrative reasons.
RealPlate only sends update emails to people who have asked for them and then confirmed their address by clicking a link. Nothing is sent before that confirmation. The lawful basis for these emails is your consent.
You can withdraw that consent at any time. Every update email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately without needing to give a reason. You can also email hello@realplate.co.uk and it will be done for you. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything sent beforehand.
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data by contacting us. These rights apply in accordance with UK data protection law.
If you think your information has been handled incorrectly, you can raise it at hello@realplate.co.uk, and you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
